How to volunteer with BMCCI

If you like the program of high quality chamber music to continue in Blackheath, why not consider becoming a volunteer? The concerts can only happen with active involvement from the community. BMCCI is a non-profit organization and run by volunteers. We have about 20 members and a small steering committee of 7 people. Do not be shy and think that you don't have anything to offer. Even though we may not be advertising for your particular talent, you can be sure that you will be very welcome and that you won't get bored. There is plenty of hard work going on behind the scenes, but when the concerts are on, everyone agrees that it's worth it.

Become a member of BMCCI Inc.

It is highly recommended for all volunteers to become members of the association, as it provides a number of benefits. Existing subscribers wanting to join should fill in a membership application and lodge it with us. If you are not a subscriber, you need to pay an annual membership fee of $1 per calendar year with you application.

• Members are covered by our $10 million public liability and volunteer accident insurance, which provides disability and lost income benefits.
• Members who actively volunteer at concerts or otherwise are entitled to available seats in the performance space at no extra cost. If no seats within the performance space are available, members will be accommodated adjacent to the performance space, i.e. downstairs or on the verandah (weather permitting).
• Members have the opportunity to network with other members of the organisation, all interested in the performance of fine chamber music.
• Members have the opportunity to meet the visiting musicians on a more informal basis before and after performances. Most players stay at the venue between the two weekend performances.
